What it does is "lightens up" the equipment used by the cops and robbers compared to the military grade equip used in say BF4. It also adds a very annoying stereotypical "Urban"...

Refreshing to know there are so many awesome old school gamers out there still carrying on with that old 80's and 90's spirit, full of fervor and determination to get things done, and not cry at the first notion of a "challenge" in a /video game/.
@swisher - I agree with you, I shouldn't have stated "stellar" but it is not broken either. I'm not sure about the 20 minute wait for things to go to shit problem but yes I have been plagued by dying around corners.
I'm not "lying" lol, I'm just saying that for the multitude of hours I spend playing the game the amount of annoyances or gripes on one scale are all well below the amount of fun and replayability on the other my friend.
One minor thing I noticed after watching all of the videos further is that it looks like the track livery or sponsor ship signage is
a.) repeated exhaustively
b.) very limited or
c.) in some cases maybe fake
..and is this method transferred to the car liveries as well in whole or part, because I'm not seeing the true to life "racing sponsors" liveries on the cars? Example: Instead of Michelin it will say Masculin..

Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well. This really does look cracking and it will be interesting to see how it will match up against a GT7. I'm a fan of GT and GT Academy, but this looks like a serious, serious rival to the old sim and could give it a good run for my time!

What the hell are you talking about? Major gripes/bugs were fixed long ago and the game has been stellar on my PS4 for months on end. Believe me if it was f'n up I wouldn't keep quiet about it. I think some people just parrot or echo what they've heard or read in the past during a terrible time at launch when there actually were bugs galore, and run with it as if the title is persistently in a glitchy; broken state. Worked fine for me. btw - pretty much anything with the original Doom Cover on it will warrant my attention and make me click. Why is that? Memories, memories of hours and hours wasted having fun and scaring myself half to death at night playing this creepy, cool, and prolific game. That's why. I'm with the author on this one.
Hands down, this series was one of my fav's to play on the good 'ol PS3 and I was sad to see it go. Wish it would make a comeback and yeah Insomniac making it would be the icing on the cake but not sure if that can happen now. So much endless potential in this series. I'm surprised it isn't a movie.
BF4 isn't currently a "fiasco" at all. I play it every single day and it's simply fantastic. When it first launched though.... that's a different story.

All I wanted to do today was wake up and game. I know there are plenty of sp experiences out there and I've had them but today I just wanted to get on with my mates and enjoy some GT6 and BF4. It's no use, the PS3 and PS4 are glorified movie machines for me atm. I'm just sitting here watching a blu-ray (on pause obviously) because I keep going back to the home screen checking for availability. Believe me when I say I hate cops but damn do I wish somehow these people could be caugh...

This is actually a very good sign, especially for gaming on consoles going forward. When Japan cares, gaming all around is better imho. This has definitely not been the trend in past, recent years. Keep up the good work Sony. Your gaming division is on point right now.
smooth - I have to disagree a bit. I have a great squad and play with others who all team up to play. And that's when there's 32 on each side or 12. Guys repairing, healing, and replenishing make the game fun and very replayable.
It's a blast and we all work toward the same goals when we're on together. Playing BF4 solo is daunting but can be done if you luck into a good squad who acknowledges and /follows/ orders, so I agree with you it can be harder wit...
